National Safety council seminar:
Western Institute of Technology, Mangalore in association with National Safety Council of India launched a three day workshop at sahodhaya hall, Balmatta, Mangalore, beginning 12th November 2009 to 14th November 2009. The honorable Secretary of the National Safety Council, Karnataka Chapter Mr. Venkateshvaralu, & honorable treasurer Mr. B.K Sadananda were present during the inauguration of the workshop. Mr. Venkataraman, retired deputy general manager, operations, at M.R.P.L was the chief guest for the occasion. The topics, resource persons addressed during the 3 day workshop were Fire prevention, Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness, Safety in Petrochemical Industries, & construction safety. More than 100 students of Western Institute of Technology took part in this 3 day workshop. The president of Western Institute of Technology, Mr. Walter Stephan Mendes welcomed the guests and the students. Mrs. Florence Mendes compeered the Programme and thanked the guests and the students.
