TRAINING
Practical application with Industry: Western Institute of Technology in association with The Karnataka Fire & Emergency Services and Padua Composite Pre-University college presented Fire Trainings demonstration at Padua high school grounds on 16.12.2008. The students of our institute participated in the March Past and fire drill. This demonstration has given our students practical experience in fire extinguishing and evacuation.
Industrial Visits:
Students of Health Safety & environment have industrial visits which is a part our curriculum at Western Institute of Technology. As a part of the practical application our students have visited KIOCL, Primacy Private Limited, Mfar Constructions, Lamina Private Limited, A.J. Hospital & Research Centre, Tegma shipyard , Udupi, Raj Fish Meals, Udupi, MCF.
Practical training forms the core of the education imparted in our institute. Students of HSE are guided to a great session of practicals in the premises of our institute. Students are introduced to new forms of training i.e. Fire extinguishing using water type fire extinguishers, extinguishing oil fire through Foam extinguishers and D.C. P. They are also trained in the various modes of fire rescue.
They also acquired knowledge about medical assistance to fire victims. Athorough training of mock drill was the outcome of this great practical session.
